Provider brings prosecution against care home owner

A care provider that has failed in its duty to provide safe care and treatment, will appear before Liverpool Magistrates’ Court, on Monday 6 March at 2pm following guilty pleas to 14 offences.

The defendants, brothers Mr Amjad Latif and Mr Amer Latif are listed for sentence.

It follows a failure to notify the CQC of the deaths of 10 residents and three serious incidents, and a failure to provide safe care and treatment resulting in residents being exposed to significant risk of avoidable harm.

The offences came to light as the result of a CQC inspection in May and June 2015.
