This International Nurses’ Day, nurses in Barchester care homes and hospitals across the UK were thanked for their fantastic work and celebrated for the vital role they play in care settings.
A box of Thorntons chocolates was sent to nurses by the care provider, with a message of thanks from its senior team, who have spoken of how proud they are of every Barchester nurse.
Dr Pete Calveley, CEO at Barchester Healthcare, says: “I would like to give my personal thanks to all our nurses. Each visit I make to our homes gives me confidence that we have some of the best nurses in the sector and the great work they do makes such a difference to the individuals we care for!”
Julia Atherton, Barchester’s director of care and quality, says: “International Nurses’ Day is a chance to shout about how thoroughly wonderful our nurses are and thank them for their dedication, professionalism and valued contribution in this challenging, but rewarding role.”
