Specialist property adviser, Christie & Co, has sold Elmhurst Care Home in Whitchurch, Shropshire.
Acting on behalf of AlixPartners, Christie & Co is delighted to announce that the business has been purchased by an existing operator in the county who already has an ‘outstanding’ CQC report.
Elmhurst Care Home is currently registered with CQC for 37 people across 37 bedrooms. However it has planning consent to extend the home with a further 60 bedrooms.
AlixPartners was appointed as the administrator of Claremont Care Limited who were the previous owners of the care home. The new owners are existing and trusted operators in the Shropshire area and they already have ambitious plans for the home; planning to upgrade all the rooms with the aim of establishing Elmhurst Care Home as a care facility of excellence.
Paul Reilly, associate director at Christie & Co, comments: “This home generated a lot of interest and numerous offers; however, the eventual buyers were found after a best and final offer process. Demand in the market is currently outweighing supply, with many established care home operators looking to expand their portfolio in the Midlands region.”
