The Care Show 2017

The Care Show, which was held from 10-11 October at the NEC Birmingham, is under the new ownership of CloserStill Media, which has unveiled the show’s 2018 manifesto and a refreshed brand identity

This years’ Care Show, which was held from 10-11 October at the NEC in Birmingham, welcomed 3219 visitors - an increase of 26 per cent on last year while more than 190 exhibitors reported brisk trading on the show floor, where new technologies and education hubs proved a hit with delegates.

Visitors to the show heard from speakers including former Secretary of State for Health, the Rt Hon Stephen Dorrell, as well as other respected individuals from the sector such as Sarah King from the United Kingdom Homecare Association (UKHCA), Pamela Holmes from the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) and Alf Collins from NHS England.

“More companies built their own showrooms and stand displays, which the delegates loved, and interaction levels were at an all time high,” says Michael Westcott, director of CloserStill. “Although it’s hard to pick out key highlights, the Nursing Hygiene Group, our headline sponsor, produced an amazing front of house stand to welcome delegates to the show,” he adds.
