It is a year since Hartford Care acquired Burnham Lodge care home, so it was the perfect time to raise a glass and celebrate with a party; the theme was ‘fun at the fair’ with a traditional coconut shy, hook a duck and tin can alley!
Over 40 residents, relatives, friends and guests gathered to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ and cut the cake on a successful and happy year since the acquisition took place on Wednesday 18 July.
Located between Burnham, Maidenhead and Beaconsfield, the home has been carefully and sympathetically restored to recreate a country house atmosphere, while providing a comfortable environment where it is easy for residents to continue to enjoy their individual way of life throughout their retirement.
Seva Hashimova, care home manager at Burnham Lodge, says: "The sun was shining and we even turned the grounds of the home in to a fun fair! I feel proud to celebrate this occasion with our residents and friends and I look forward to many more birthday celebrations at Burnham Lodge!"
