Bethel House celebrates CQC rating

Hampshire-based care provider, Hartford Care, is delighted to announced that Bethel House care home has received an overall ‘good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

During the inspection in September, the impressive family home was awarded five ‘good’ stars and highly praised for its ‘safe, effective, responsive, caring and well led’ residential, dementia and respite services.

The residents, family carers and staff team at the Barton-on-Sea, Beach Avenue home, along with the Hartford Care family, are delighted with the outcome.

The CQC report provides details to demonstrate the quality of life for those who call Bethel House, home; care was provided respectfully and sensitively, taking into account people's different needs. Care plans provided comprehensive information about how people wished to receive care and support. People were cared for with kindness, compassion and sensitivity.

A resident said: "My daughter found this home for me. I came here, and it didn't take me long to settle in. I like it here now and I'm well fed, safe and cared for."

The welcoming and comfortable home is proudly led by a fully-trained, kind and caring team who strive to deliver quality care, as evidenced in the CQC report. A relative told us, "The girls and boys [staff] here really seem to care about the residents, which gives us confidence and peace of mind."

CEO of Hartford Care Sean Gavin comments: "Congratulations to Aga and the team at Bethel House for this terrific outcome. I know the team have worked tirelessly to ensure the quality of care is consistently maintained and I’m sure they are happy with this report. When I walk into the care home I’m really proud to see the residents enjoying the home and the team truly contribute to the friendly and welcoming environment."

Set in its own secluded grounds, Bethel House is located by a beach setting in the picturesque seaside area of New Milton, close to the New Forest.

Registered manager Aga Gierek says: "I feel really proud and this is a great opportunity to show that our residents are happy, engaged and safe while living at Bethel House.

"This was my first CQC inspection as a registered manager, and I have been working hard with the team to ensure our residents live their life to the fullest. I’m really happy to know that Bethel House has been recognised and appreciated by residents, relatives, staff and professional bodies.

"I feel very proud of my caring and compassionate team, as they play a huge part in delivering quality care to our residents and supporting them in their daily lives, because at the end of the day, Bethel is their home."
