Caring Group recognises excellence

Industry leading residential care and supported living provider, Caring Homes Group, has celebrated its 25th year in business by recognising its most outstanding colleagues and teams within its 5700-strong workforce.

Caring Homes Group, which operates 64 Caring Homes for the elderly and 87 ‘Consensus' learning disability services, held its gala ‘Recognition Awards' at Heythrop Park Resort, Oxfordshire, on 14 June. The event was hosted by one of the original professional dancers on Strictly Come Dancing; producer and entertainer, Brendan Cole. Over 370 colleagues and business partners came together to celebrate the very best care and support provided by outstanding people.

The key award of the evening, ‘Lifetime Achievement', was presented to Jackie Morrison, regional manager, Caring Homes for 25 years' of service. Jackie was also recognised for her excellent ability to engage people, manage strategy, roles, performance, development, energy and happiness to sustain and transform care services.

Paul Jeffery, CEO, Caring Homes Group, is currently the longest serving CEO in the care sector. He's proud of his hardworking team and that Caring Homes Group has remained family-owned for the past 25 years. He says: "It is very important that we celebrate success, not only of our finalists but also the successes achieved every day by thousands of our colleagues caring for some of the most vulnerable in our society. I am extremely proud that in our 25th year we are all colleagues, a team, a family."

Wishing to be totally inclusive, and while colleagues and sponsors gathered in Heythrop Park for the awards, over 10,000 cupcakes were sent to all Caring Homes Group homes and services so that colleagues working that day, residents and those the organisation supports, could join in the celebrations.
