Care home meals provider apetito is to host a free dining experience webinar next week on understanding the importance of dining experience on resident wellbeing.
The hour-long session on Thursday 10 September at 2pm is being hosted apetito care home sales manager Lisa Delaney and care home key account manager Annthea Corry.
The aim of the webinar is to help care home managers and other professionals learn how to deliver a positive dining experience, including practical examples and takeaways on how they can implement within their own home.
In addition, the apetito representatives will impart know-how to deliver an “exceptional” dining experience during Covid-19.
The session will also raise awareness of Regulation 14 and what contributes to an "Outstanding" Care Quality Commission inspection report.
“We firmly believe that food has the ability to make a real difference to the lives of care home residents; and that mealtimes are to be enjoyed and shared and not simply something that needs to be checked off a list,” the company said.
“Dining experience plays a significant role in a resident’s enjoyment of food, helping to enhance appetite, offer opportunities to socialise and as a result increase nutritional intake. We work closely with our care home partners to find a dining experience that is bespoke for their home and most importantly their residents,” it added.
