Care provider Barchester Healthcare has marked the start of construction of its latest residential home, a 72-bed facility in Purley near Croydon.
Building work on the Foxley Lane scheme is being tackled by McGoff Construction.
The home, set to open in spring 2022, will provide high quality residential care services, as well as dedicated dementia care in Barchester’s unique Memory Lane Communities.
“Our care home will offer luxury surroundings for residents, and with 25 years’ experience will bring Barchester’s high quality care and expertise in caring for residents,” said Barchester senior property development manager Andy Williams.
“The luxury care home in Purley will provide residents with a home set in beautiful grounds, and will deliver personalised residential care, as well as dementia care within an interactive multi-sensory environment,” he added.
McGoff construction contracts manager Craig Clancy added: “This ground-breaking marks the start of an exciting project, which will not only result in quality build using innovative construction practices.”
