Meals provider apetito has opened registration for its latest webinar on care home catering to be held on 19 November.
The fourth in the series will focus on malnutrition in care homes, hosted by apetito in-house dietitian Emily Stuart and associate registered nutritionist Caitlin Kitson.
The webinar, which takes place on Thursday 19 November at 2pm, aims to educate care home managers and staff about the causes and effects of malnutrition, how to spot the signs and the implications this may have for residents.
“By the end of this session, (attendees) should be able to explain what malnutrition is, who it affects and the implications for residents, understand the scope of the issue in UK care homes, and know more about how to practically manage malnutrition in a care home,” the company said.

Apetito has previously held care home catering webinars on plate presentation, dysphagia awareness, and dining experience.
“So far we have seen really significant uptake of these sessions with them growing in popularity each time,” the company said.
