Mearns View Care Home in East Renfrewshire, Scotland, has been officially opened by Scottish Care chief executive Dr Donald Macaskill.
The event at the purpose-built luxury care home in Newton Mearns was attended by residents, relatives, staff, healthcare professionals, and members of the local community. Attendees were treated to live entertainment, canapes, and glasses of bubbly, and were invited to tour the home and its facilities.
Mearns View Care Home offers person-centred residential, dementia, and nursing care for up to 67 residents. It offers community living, with residents having the reassurance that support from the home’s dedicated team is available around the clock. A plaque to commemorate the opening of the home was unveiled by Dr Macaskill.
Home manager Terry Blackwood said: “It has been so exciting seeing the development of the home and the care the team offers is second to none combined with an unrivalled lifestyle where the residents can keep doing all the things they love as well as trying new things with our all-inclusive events and well-being programme. There has been so much interest in the home from both residents and staff alike and the buzz around the home is infectious.
