Excelcare hosts conference to discuss future of care

Excelcare Leadership teams gathered at the Marriott Hotel in Waltham Abbey, Essex this month for the provider’s Innovating Care Conference.

The event provided an opportunity for professionals across the organisation to share knowledge, and showcase advancements that will be introduced this year and beyond, with a particular focus on the role of technology in shaping the future of care.

Director of digital transformation Alvin Singelee highlighted the role that AI will play in enhancing efficiency, decision-making, and personalised care. Discussions about recruitment and human resources also featured a strong digital element, with attendees introduced to new solutions aimed at streamlining the onboarding and talent acquisition process, such as the shift towards a paperless system, enabling individuals to register their interest in vacancies digitally.

Director of people operations Osa Ogbeide shared insights into upcoming government-led changes that will impact employer operations, while director of care, quality and governance Wendy Cowell focused on maintaining regulatory compliance while ensuring that technology enhances – rather than replaces – the human touch in care.

The Innovating Care Conference showcased Excelcare’s commitment to embracing technology while keeping people at the heart of what it does. As AI and digital solutions become more integrated into daily operations, the provider hopes that the insights gained from this event will help ensure teams are equipped with the tools they need to drive meaningful change.
