Marie Louise House in Romsey, Hampshire has celebrated its 20th year with a special event bringing together residents, families, staff, and members of the community.
Among the guests at the Healthcare Management Trust home was Councillor Gordon Bailey, Mayor of Test Valley. Special gifts were presented to staff members who have shown dedication and ambition in making the care home special to all, including Mair Williams, executive director of community and complex care at HMT.
Marie Louise House provides nursing and respite care as well as specialist care for people with dementia.
Amy Francis, activities coordinator at Marie Louise House, said: “It was so lovely seeing everyone come together to make this special occasion. It means so much to us all here to have such support from the community and families of our residents. It’s moments like this which make this job feel so rewarding.”
Andrea Barker, area manager at HMT, commented: “I am beyond proud of everyone involved in marking this day. We have come so far over the years, and coming together to mark this celebration is a testament to the hard work of the whole team. We have built something very special here. Personally, I am proud and grateful to be part of something so magical.”
