A six-figure upgrade to a West Midlands care home has begun following its acquisition, which was brokered by business property advisors Montane Care.
Now owned by Hawcombe Care, Comberton Nursing Home in Stourbridge provides nursing and residential care for up to 36 residents, including those with dementia, and employs 50 staff.
Montane Care brokered the deal on behalf of Astley Care, which is owned by Jay Patel and operates four care homes across the Midlands and Cheshire.
Imran Mian, director of Hawcombe Care, said: “Comberton is a great home with a lot of potential. It has a good reputation and occupancy levels, and we are excited about making long-term improvements to the home.
“Its location fits perfectly with our expansion strategy and we are looking to grow further in the West Midlands as we assess other acquisition opportunities.”
Darren Edwards, healthcare agent at Montane Care, added: “The successful transfer of Comberton Nursing Home demonstrates that, with the right guidance, operators can confidently navigate the complexities of care home acquisition and take over a business that is both operationally sound and positioned for future success.”
