Care Innovation Summit to focus on growth and adapting to change

Over 500 care provider leaders to gather in central London next month to hear examples of new approaches to improving efficiency, strengthening services and delivering better outcomes in a challenging environment.

A disabled adventurer is set to address care home, home care and specialist care provider leaders in central London next month at an event aimed at helping the sector to overcome challenges and adapt to change.

Darren Edwards (pictured) - a record-breaking disabled adventurer - will share his insights on resilience, adaptability and overcoming adversity at the Care Home Innovation Summit on 11th June.

Mr Edwards will open the summit, which is set to bring over 500 care provider leaders together to focus on practical approaches to driving improvement and innovation in care delivery.

Over 30 suppliers are set to feature at the one-day conference and exhibition - including The Care Home Environment -  alongside a multi-stream programme covering healthcare design and build, the future of care, and dementia care, with sessions exploring leadership, financial resilience, workforce challenges, digital transformation and the design of future-ready care environments.

The organisers said the summit is aimed at leaders 'looking to grow, adapt and succeed' and will 'bring together practical insight, innovation and collaboration from across the sector.'

Healthcare Design & Build

Chaired by Jon Chapman, head of care at specialist property consultants Pinders, this programme is designed to explore how design, investment and innovation can shape the future of care environments, including sustainability, funding models and evolving expectations from residents and providers, the organisers said.

Speakers include Clare Cameron, director at architects' firm Harris Irwin, Rupert Lecomber, asset management director at retirement housing non-profit Housing 21 and Jeremy Walford, chair of retirement village Middleton Hall, who will focus on ‘highlighting the role of the built environment in supporting better care outcomes and future-focused development’.

The future of care programme will be chaired by National Care Association chair Nadra Ahmed and speakers include Care England CEO, Professor Martin Green OBE, while Innovare Dementia Consultancy senior consultant David Wilson-Wynne will chair the dementia care programme of speakers, which include the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) chair and Isle of Wight East conservative MP Joe Robertson.
