Oyster Care Homes’ Somer Valley House Care Home in Midsomer Norton, Somerset has celebrated its official opening.
Actor and singer Anita Harris opened the home and performed a song, and music was also provided by local performer Hannah Glencross. Attendees had the opportunity to tour the 66-bed home and meet its dedicated team. Somer Valley House’s eco-friendly features, including solar panels, a ground-source heating system, and a battery store capable of holding two days’ energy, were also showcased, highlighting Oyster Care Homes’ commitment to sustainable residential care.
General manager Lauren Dinham said: “Somer Valley House is a place where residents can thrive in comfort, companionship, and care. Today’s opening reflects the heart of our mission - to create a home filled with joy and belonging.”
