Origins and inspiration
The journey of Frequency Precision began with a personal story. Doug Dwyer, the founder, was inspired by his mother’s experience in a care home. She lived with dementia and was unaware of the risks of getting out of bed unassisted. Doug initially developed a pager system to help her call for assistance, but he sought a solution that was more discreet and proactive. This led to the creation of a pressure-sensitive mat capable of detecting movement without compromising privacy. That innovation laid the foundation for Frequency Precision’s signature Airlert technology.
