Millfield Rose, part of the Macc Care Group, has officially opened its doors in Brownhills, Walsall.
More than 200 members of the local community attended a special launch event to welcome residents to the home, which is set to provide residential, nursing, dementia, and respite care for up to 90 residents.
The opening, which marks the group’s seventeenth care home across the Midlands, saw a ribbon-cutting ceremony performed by Louise Harrison, Mayor of Walsall.
The new home replaces a former pub site that had fallen into disrepair. Facilities include a cinema, salon, wellness spaces and thoughtfully designed communal areas.
Louise Harrison, Mayor of Walsall, said: “As Mayor of Walsall, I’m proud to see investments like this that place care, dignity and community at their heart. A care home is much more than a building; it’s a place of comfort, friendship and belonging. I wish Millfield Rose every success for the future, and I hope it becomes a happy home for all who live and work here.”
Bhav Amlani, director of Macc Care, said: “It was fantastic to welcome our local community to Millfield Rose and to celebrate the opening of our seventeenth home. The response from our neighbours has been incredibly warm, and it was wonderful to see so many people come along to support us. As we continue to grow, maintaining strong community connections remains central to our values, and we look forward to welcoming residents, families and local people through our doors for many years to come.”
