Luxury provider's 5th home offers capacity for up to 70 people on former factory site in Hythe
Boutique Care Homes has opened its latest purpose-built care home in Hythe, Kent, with the arrival of its first residents marking the operational launch of Martello Manor on this week.
The provider’s 5th purpose built home was registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) earlier this month, will provide accommodation for up to 70 older people, including those living with dementia and physical or sensory impairments, and short-stay respite care, the company said.
Martello Manor is the latest Boutique Care Homes to open in its expanding South East England luxury portfolio, combining hotel-style amenities with personalised care models. It has a further three in development, and is looking for further sites.
Facilities include en-suite bedrooms, landscaped gardens and communal spaces such as a bistro, salon and activity areas. The provider’s in-house ‘Nostalgia Care’ approach underpins its dementia offer, focusing on reminiscence and personalised engagement as part of a wider life enrichment framework, it said in a statement.
The new home is part of a wider development, including 86 residential homes, of a former 8 acre factory site operated by Smiths Medical, which closed fully in 2017.
