Specialist care home developer Zephyr X and award-winning operator EQ Care Group have launched their first-ever ESG Week.
The joint initiative is designed to turn sustainability ambition into measurable action across their growing UK portfolio.
Bringing together development, construction, and operational teams, ESG Week formalises a shared sustainability strategy across both businesses. EQ Care Group currently has care homes in Birmingham, Telford, Blackburn, Wigan and Whitchurch-on-Thames, with another in Reigate due to be open soon.
The programme builds on a close partnership that has already delivered five operational care homes nationwide, with 20 further homes in development, aligning environmental performance, governance, and social impact from design stage through to day-to-day care.
From February 16, teams across all the homes and live development sites will focus on priority ESG outcomes, including energy efficiency, resident wellbeing, waste reduction, colleague engagement, and data-driven performance management.
Activity will include on-site reviews, hands-on workshops, community projects, and leadership sessions led by ESG Champions embedded within every home.
Adam Faulkner, founder of Zephyr X, said: “True ESG impact comes from alignment. By designing, building and operating our homes with shared purpose, we move beyond box-ticking and deliver outcomes that genuinely improve lives for residents, colleagues and communities.”
EQ Care Group CEO Samantha Crawley added: “Sustainability in care is not an initiative - it’s a daily responsibility. ESG Week brings our values to life, strengthens our culture and accelerates the positive impact our homes make every day.”
